The 2016 CarDealer Magazine named us Highly Commended Car Dealership of the Year (100+ cars).
On Monday evening at the 2016 CarDealer Magazine awards at The Brewery in London, we were delighted to be named Highly Commended Car Dealership of the Year (100+ cars).
Managing Director, Sam Buckland, said:
“The past year has been incredibly exciting for us here at UCOB, now occupying one of the biggest indoor showrooms in the South West of the UK.
I’m incredibly proud of what we have achieved as a company, throughout what has been tough economic conditions for the industry. Our timing and adaptability has been particularly important, enabling us to react quickly to change in the way we market our business throughout the mass consumer adoption of mobile and digital devices over the past 4 years.
Above all, none of this would have been possible without my loving family and great people who share the same vision and determination, so I owe many thanks to our sales, admin and site staff for their dedication and unwavering support. Many of them have young families of their own, and together we have made sacrifices in order to build a growing and sustainable business with a bright future for all involved.
This recognition will inspire us towards continued growth and success for many years ahead, so thanks again to the UCOB team and our loyal customers!”
Here’s how the awards we decided upon:
“Now it starts to get interesting. Here at Car Dealer, we have to sort through a pile of entries and go through the difficult process of whittling them down to a shortlist of five for 20 different categories.
We could, of course, make it simple for ourselves by just picking them at random – but we don’t. To make it to the final five you’ve got to show us you’re really on your game.
First up we look at all the entries and go through a pre-vetting process to come up with a long-list, in part based on the quality of information provided on your nomination form.
Then we play the ‘mystery shopper’ by phone, email or even a personal visit to get a sense of the quality of customer care, as well as looking at the quality of your website – from a customer’s point of view.
Once the scores are in our panel of judges – chaired by Mike Brewer – will sit down and come up with a shortlist in each category.
On the night itself, one of those on the list will be going up on stage as the overall winner, while two others will be recognised as highly commended in their category”
Here’s to a successful 2016 and an even better 2017 and beyond!
