We all do those little mistakes while driving, which we think they won't matter but they actually do. Little mistakes, you may be doing unconsciously but have a huge impact on the rest of the drivers and the traffic in total. Not indicating, driving in the middle lane of the street, driving with full beams at night, or not wearing your seatbelts at all.

As you can understand some of those are crimes or can lead to huge ones. So please, If you do any of the following mistakes, please, we beg you, stop doing them now!

1) Incorrect positioning of rearview mirror

This is a mistake that most drivers have made, or will make. Drivers become lazy over the years and do not check the position of their rearview mirror, before they set off on their journey. You MUST check that you can clearly see behind you while driving, so check the mirror before every journey.

2) Driving slowly in the middle lane

The middle lane of the motorway is notorious for this, drivers who amble along at a slow driving speed, blocking the lane. Do not do this. On a 3 lane motorway, you must stay over in the left-hand lane, unless you need to get past slower moving vehicle. Match your speed to the traffic in your lane.

3) Not indicating

Once again complacency and laziness can overtake us, and we can forget to use our indicator lights. This is incredibly dangerous, as other vehicles, and pedestrians, do not know which way we will turn. This is hazardous for everyone involved.

4) Driving with full beams

Full beams do have a purpose, but when you are using them unnecessarily, they can be glaring to other drivers and can cause a nasty accident. Use high beams carefully and only when needed.

5) Keeping your foot on the break

If you drive and keep your foot constantly on the brake, then when you use the accelerator pedal, you are more likely to press down on the brake as well. Over time this can seriously damage your break pads. So don't do it.

6) Not wearing a seatbelt

No matter how short the journey, ALWAYS wear a seatbelt. Wearing one could mean the difference between life and death.

7) Driving with one hand

We have all done this, driving with one arm out of the car window and the other on the steering wheel. This is so unsafe. Always hold the steering wheel with both hands, so that you are in full control of your vehicle.

8) Driving too fast

Speeding is one of the biggest causes of RTAs. When you speed, you are not in full control of your vehicle. Speed limits are there for a reason, to keep you safe, so stick to them.

9) Texting while driving

We shouldn't really have to spell this out, but texting while driving is against the law. DO NOT DO IT. If you take your eyes off the road for just 5 seconds while you send a text, then at 50mph, even if you apply the brakes, you will still continue to travel the length of a football field. Think about this!

10) Not taking a break

Driving while you are tired KILLS. So be sure to take regular breaks, open the car window and stop for coffee. Do not drive while you are exhausted.
